2nd Annual Saskatchewan Trails Day

The second annual Saskatchewan Trails Day was a great success! On Saturday, June 6, over 14 events were held across the province to celebrate our trails. Thank you to everyone involved for hosting and taking part in Saskatchewan Trails Day!

The winner of the draw for hosting a Saskatchewan Trails Day event was the Town of Shaunavon. Laurie Koshinsky and her family won the Saskatchewan Trails Short Story Contest with their story about the trails at Pike Lake Provincial Park.

Saskatchewan Trails Day was officially proclaimed in the province by the Honourable Dustin Duncan, Minister of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport. Minister Duncan presented Curt Schroeder with the proclamation at a media conference on June 5. Also at the conference to help kick-off the day were: Candace Phelps, Vice President of Tourism Saskatchewan; Louis Browne, City of Regina Councillor; Clive Craig, S.P.R.A. Board Member; and Chris Brewer, CEO of the Saskatchewan Snowmobiling Association.
